Rhinophalt is a cold spray-applied treatment incorporating Gilsonite, a natural 99% pure asphalt mineral, which penetrates the bituminous material in the road to preserve and protect the surface. Rhinophalt chemically re-engineers the existing binder and seals in the essential oils and resins. It improves the inherent flexibility of the surface and therefore renders it more resistant to deformation, cracking, stiffness and traffic abrasion. The treatment is quick to apply and the treated surface can be re-opened to traffic within two hours of application. Areas of up to 20,000m² can be sprayed in an eight hour period. Rhinophalt has HAPAS approval.
